Szilvásvárad

 

Szilvásvárad is a village at Heves county, not far from the the Bükk’s  ,above the sea level  345 feet . It was named after the Slavic castles .

Szilvásvárad is an admitted holiday place.. The Szalajka Valley of the Bükki National Park, is a nature reserve.

 

Szilvásvárad is a very old settlement . At the Bükk mountain, people lived at the stone age yet.Istállós - Stone cave excavations 35-40000 years old artifacts have been discovered.

One of Hungary’s  most popular holiday destination is Szalajka valley, where the tourists can enjoy the excellent environment and fresh, clean air. At the valley tourists can admire streams, waterfalls, trout ponds.  The Caveman 's Cave , museums, visiting the wildlife park is an essential part of the trips just like traveling by the forest train.

Szilvásvárad is the home of  the world -famous Lipizzaner stallions. Museum, equestrian history exhibition make the experiences unforgettable. At Szilvásvárad, tourist can find the unique circule church, the Millenium viewpoint, but prehistory exhibition is available too.

In the winter seasons Szilvásávárad wait the tourists with snow cannon, ski field with cable cars. But if the guests want to face some challenge, the unique Adventure Park can solve this problem. A bob track is available too, and the extereme sport lovers can find the suitable activity (horse-riding, bicycle tour)
